Landscaping in Ridgefield, WA
Ridgefield is home. Our address is on NE 171st Street, our owner’s kids go to school here, and a good share of our work comes from within a few miles of the shop. When we say we are local, we mean you can drive past our projects on your way to Abrams Park.

New construction yards are our specialty here
Ridgefield has been one of the fastest-growing cities in Washington for a decade, and the subdivisions off Pioneer Street, up around Taverner Ridge, Ridgefield Heights and the newer developments toward the north are full of homes handed over with a thin skin of hydroseed over compacted subsoil. Builders deliver a certificate of occupancy, not a landscape. We do a great deal of first-landscape work on those lots: ripping the compaction, correcting the grade the builder left pitched toward the house, getting downspouts tightlined away from the foundation, and then building the patio and lawn on top of ground that will actually support them.
Clay, and a lot of it
Ridgefield sits on the same heavy clay subsoil as most of west Clark County. It holds water from October through May, which is why so many yards here have a permanent soggy corner and why retaining walls built without drain rock behind them start leaning by year five. Every base we build and every wall we stack accounts for it.
Permits and the growth area
Work inside Ridgefield city limits goes through the City of Ridgefield; properties just outside fall under Clark County. The line is not always where homeowners assume, particularly in the newer areas near the urban growth boundary. We check which authority covers your address before quoting anything that may need a permit.

Five stars, from people who let us in their back yard
Reviews below are from our verified Thumbtack profile. We would rather show you four real ones than a wall of anonymous quotes.
Marak did a FANTASTIC job from start to finish. If I could I’d give him 10 stars. He designed and built the garden bed. He filled it with good soil; and he transplanted my irises and some other plants. He was great at communicating; he was on time; he cleaned up. His prices were reasonable (in middle of quotes I got). I’d use him again in a New York minute.Kathleen P.Verified Thumbtack review
Marak and his team did a great job for our backyard and side yard. Very good craftsmanship and work quality. We will definitely hire them again for future projects!Jenny B.Verified Thumbtack review
Marak did such a great job for me. He listened to what I wanted and made suggestions for things I didn't think about. He was always there when he said he would be and worked so fast. I highly recommend!!!Pamela P.Verified Thumbtack review
